Lazy Yet Not

Turns out baking banana bread isn’t exactly a catalyst for action. While I was waiting the hour for it to bake, I started reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman

I finished Outlander in Germany and while I enjoyed the story, I was looking for something a little more…literary than a tale of love that involved time travel and men in kilts after I finished.  I’m only about 100 pages into American Gods, but it is gooooood. I’m hooked! Which explains why it was a lazy afternoon until Mom was ready to head to base and I got a nice workout in at the gym.  I did this 50 minute elliptical workout from Peanut Butter Fingers

We also went to the library and picked up some more books. My favorite part about summer is all the free time to spend reading in the sun!

A question for you: What’s the best book you’ve read lately?

I have a feeling American Gods is going to win that spot for me!

  1. I am actually reading American Gods right now. I’ve got about 80 pages left until it’s over. And all I can say is that if you think it’s good now… just wait. It gets more incredible with every flip of the page. Gaiman is one of my favourite authors, so if you love American Gods when you’re done I suggest reading Gaiman’s Neverwhere, another great read!
